Servicing

Our state of the art 8 bay service centre is fully approved under the National Caravan Council Approved Workshop scheme. With our fully trained City & Guilds accredited Service Technicians, we are equipped to deal with all major and minor repairs and caravan and motorhome servicing.

Touring Caravan Servicing

Our competitively priced touring caravan service comprises thorough testing of the interior and exterior of your caravan. Click here see a full service summary.

In accordance with the Approved Workshop Scheme servicing guide, a full fridge service is not included as standard but can be added as an extra upon request. Our caravan service also comprises a comprehensive damp check using regularly calibrated moisture meters to ensure a reliable reading and complete peace of mind.

Servicing Parameters

New Caravans

If you have purchased a new touring caravan, in order to maintain your warranty, it is crucial that you have your caravan serviced annually and within the parameters outlined by your manufacturer. The many different components in your caravan are covered for varying periods of time such as microwaves, blinds and windows. If you are unsure about the length of warranty on a particular component, please contact our Aftersales department who will be happy to assist you.

Bailey

Year 1 & 2 – 6 weeks before and 6 weeks after.
Year 3 – Before the anniversary date.
Year 4 & 5 – 6 weeks before and 6 weeks after.
Year 6 – Before the anniversary date.

Elddis

Year 1 & 2 – 60 days before and 60 days after.
Year 3 – Before the anniversary date.
Year 4 to 9 – 60 days before and 60 days after.
Year 10 – Before the anniversary date.

Swift

Year 1 & 2 – 90 days before and 60 days after.
Year 3 – Before the anniversary date.
Year 4-9 – 90 days before and 60 days after.
Year 10 – Before the anniversary date.

Coachman

Year 1 & 2 – 90 days before and 90 days after.
Year 3 – Before the anniversary date.
Year 4-9 – 90 days before and 90 days after.
Year 10 – Before the anniversary date.

Alde Heating System

In many new touring caravans, Alde central heating is becoming a regular feature. From 2020, all new touring caravans with Alde installed will be filled with a pink 5 year anti-freeze solution. If your caravan has blue fluid in the system, this needs to be changed after 2 years. This can be carried out during your annual service or at another time at a price of £220 including VAT. We replace the anti-freeze fluid with a five-year solution saving you the trouble and cost of changing the fluid again for some time. Please mention when booking if you would like this service carried out. It is recommended by Alde that the anti-freeze in this system is replaced to ensure your warranty stays valid if your caravan is under 3 years old. Pre-Owned Caravans

If you have purchased a pre-owned caravan from us you will have been provided with a 12-month Motorplan warranty. This warranty expires on midnight on the eve of the anniversary of your date of purchase. To make the most of your warranty, we recommend booking a service prior to this date in order to identify any possible problems. In the unlikely event that you should experience any problems with your caravan, please contact our Aftersales department to arrange or authorise any remedial work. Please refer to your Motorplan policy booklet for warranty details and a list of general exclusions. Please note that the warranty provided covers selected component parts and water ingress up to a caravan age of 8 years from original date of purchase.

Professional Damp Repairs

Despite your best efforts, at times, damp can find a way in. In the event that damp is found in your caravan or motorhome there is no need to worry. Upon carrying out a thorough damp check, our Aftersales team will compile a detailed estimate for either your warranty provider, or yourself as a cash customer. With competitive prices and excellent attention to detail our damp repairs are sure to put your mind at ease.

Insurance Work / Accident Damage

Because accidents do happen, we at Yorkshire Coast Caravans are fully prepared to cater for insurance work and accident repairs. After an initial inspection, our Aftersales team is on hand to provide an estimate for repair. With experienced technicians working closely with a reputable body shop, we endeavor to have your caravan ready for its next adventure as soon as possible.

Warranty Repairs

As an approved dealership for Swift, Bailey and Coachman caravans, we are able to carry out warranty work and repairs for each of these manufacturers even if your caravan was not purchased from Yorkshire Coast Caravans. If you think you have a warranty issue on your caravan, please call our Aftersales Department who will be happy to assist you.

Fitting of Motor Movers & Tyron Bands

We are main Reich agents and can supply and fit various makes and models of motor mover, including AL-KO, Powrtouch and Truma. With many options available, from manual or auto-engage, to single axle or all-wheel-drive, our advisors are always on hand to aid you in choosing the best motor mover for you and your caravan.

Tyron is a patented lightweight well-filler band that converts a standard steel or alloy wheel into a safety wheel. When fitted, it will significantly improve the performance and safety of any wheel or tyre in the event of deflation. Please contact us for current prices for your caravan.

Fitting of Accessories

Our well-stocked accessory shop and service department are on hand to provide you with the means to really make your caravan your own.
